Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis ehrenfelser comes off three vineyards stretching the length of the Okanagan: Osoyoos, the home vineyard in Kelowna, and further north. When the desired off-dry sweetness was achieved (19 g/L) ferment was halted by cold stabilization. The sugar certainly sticks out, leading a somewhat disjointed palate of gooseberries, pear gummies, sour lime candies, and ripe honeysuckle apples. The finish tightens up with a limey snap.
