Ferrari Brut Rosé Metodo Classico NV

Trento, Trentino- Alto-Adige, ItalyGiulio Ferrari, a Trentino native, started his venerable sparkling wine house in 1902, after studying winemaking in France. Convinced that his native region’s mountainous terroir was ideal for growing Chardonnay, he set out to make the best traditional method sparkling wines of Italy. With 300 acres today, Ferrari is the largest property in Trentino. This blend of 60/40 pinot nero / chardonnay, spent 30 months on the lees, and has a dosage around 7 g/L. Pouring an elegant pale rose in hue, this fills the elegant palate with delicate cherry, red currants, raspberry, tensed with a bright acidity, and centred around a core of cherry brioche. Certainly on par with, and besting, many Champagne. Brava.Tasted: 28 October 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
