California, United StatesThere is no Conundrum when it comes to this wine. Each year I taste it, it remains big, round, soft, and sweet. The nose is a milk chocolate and black raspberry affair, and so is the palate. The finish is packed with ripe, candied fruit and 11 grams per litre of residual sugar that contributes to its silky, sweet, powdery finish. More confection than wine, it is for a very specific market with a red wine sweet tooth.
