Bruna Grimaldi Nebbiolo d’Alba Bonurei 2018

Serralunga, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyThe Grimaldi Nebbiolo d'Alba is crafted to be elegant, and a red wine you can drink sooner than any of its big brother cousins Barbaresco or Barolo. The fruit comes off several sites ranging from southeast to southwest exposures at altitudes between 250-450m. The classic ferment is aged 12-15 months in 500 and 700 litre tonneaux. The colour is pale orange-red, the nose earthy with some of those tarry red cherry aromas the spill on to the palate. Here the dryness and the acidity kicks in, so you know you're drinking Italian red wine from Piedmont, and you begin to think about pasta all'uovo, pasta with rich sauces, grilled meats, raw beef, and mature cheeses.Tasted: 30 October 2020Tasted by: Prices:
