Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIn 2017 this Naramata Bench pinot has a touch of elegance and restraint that is always a good place to start in the New World. Juicy raspberry fruit previews a slightly darker, drier, black cherry palate with earthy, spicy notes. The textures are appropriately silky and provide the medium for the complex soya, cherry, earthy, savoury finish. Impressive for the price, and while you could cellar this for a year or two, drinking it now is a definite possibility.
