Domaine Vendange Roussette de Savoie Madame de M... 2017

Savoie, FranceDomaine Vendange was founded in 2015 in Combe de Savoie, on the foothills of the Massif des Bauges. The Domaine extends over 10 hectares on south facing slopes, and focuses on local grapes Jacquère, Altesse, and Mondeuse. This altesse (aka roussette) is from 20 year old vines in the silty clays around the winery, was fermented in stainless where 1/3 underwent MLF, and then aged in a mix of older barrels and stainless for 10 months. Nimble and shining, with tight elderflower, hawthorne, subtle wild rose, and bergamot oil, this streams the slight palate to a stone dust finish. A lovely, savoury, salted wine that transmits its place. Can't get much better than that.Tasted: 26 September 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
