Château Tour Baladoz Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2004

Saint Émilion, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceFrom the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, this merlot is tipped with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. After 15-30 days on skins in concrete and stainless, fermented by plot, this was tipped into barrels for 18 months (70% new). Classic right bank, with ample leather, pencil, brooding dark cherry, baked plum, and dense tobacco, this still holds a sheen of bright acidity and remarkably ample tannins, still with a grippy edge to a drying finish. Decant and drink now, with sauced beef or mushroom medallions.Tasted: 05 September 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
