Siena, Tuscany, ItalyFrom hills of Gaiole in the southern part of Chianti Classico, comes the Castello di Ama Gran Selezione a blend 80/13/7/ sangiovese, merlot, and malvasia nera. Purity of fruit is the house specialty, and in a warm 2015, this wine has it in spades. Black cherries and blackberries intermingle with bits of dried herbs, leather and earth. The texture is Gran Selezione rich with even richer tannins yet to be dispersed. Our bottle has fine acidity, keeping it lively through the finish. Drink now with a classic Osso Buco dish or cellar through 2025.
