Upper Bench Pinot Blanc Limited Release 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2019 vintage of Upper Bench’s pinot blanc continues their trend of blending in a small percentage of muscat, which has given this heightened orange blossom aromatics. It adds to the wine’s complexity, but the trade off is less transparent varietal character. Pinot blanc’s crisp tree fruits are present, but pushed softly to the background. Dry and somewhat lean on the palate, the acid is tart and not altogether cohesive.
