Free Form Vin Gris 2019

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Okanagan Crush Pad's Garnet Valley Ranch above Summerland, this vin gris is made from pinot noir that was whole cluster pressed and wild fermented in concrete eggs. It was bottled unfiltered after aging on its lees for six months. It's all about texture and elegance, with a combination of crunchy red fruits, delicate spice, and savoury herbs. It may be quite pale in colour, but there's still a lot of pinot character here. There’s a nice creaminess to the palate, with a mineral-laden texture that speaks both to place and the concrete aging. Nicely done and a steal at this price.
