CedarCreek Platinum Clone 667 Pinot Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year CedarCreek released three single clone Home Block Pinot Noirs, all from Dijon clones and planted on their estate silty loams. All were fermented and aged similarly, for an ultimate geek tasting experience. This clone 667 was native fermented in stainless before 14 months in French barrels and puncheons. Dark and plump, with plush black cherry, dark raspberry, and sultry sasparilla-kissed spices subtly dotting the lingering finish. Tannins are grippy but still softened, well situated to support this darker shaded, muscular pinot. There's a lovely natural freshness throughout, making this a natural for partnering with wild mushroom risotto or herb roasted pork tenderloin.Tasted: 22 August 2020Tasted by: Prices:
