Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThis leads with liquered black fruits alongside chocolatey oak and a pungent vegetal character, making it oddly reminiscent of carmenere. Medium-full bodied, it’s quite concentrated with smooth, dense tannins, extracted, but not overly so. It’s identifiably Chilean, if not part of the New Wave; unfortunately, the varietal character is a bit lost here.
