Luke Lambert Crudo Shiraz 2019

Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaCrudo is meant to be a youthful, smashable, drink now and often Shiraz from one of Yarra's leading next gen, Luke Lambert. That said, don't think this is not serious; this is stamped with the authenticity and attention all Luke's wines carry. From the granitic Denton Hill outcrop, this juicy cool climate Yarra shiraz was native fermented whole bunch with 80% stems and skins (less carbonic maceration). After resting in aged 5000L cask, this was bottled without fining or filtration. Juicy plum, wild raspberry, sweet boysenberry, pink peppercorns flood the palate of this joyous, softer medium bodied red, one that pours a light hazy cherry hue. Shouldered by that fine granitic grip, this wine encourages pairing with charcuterie or mushroom salads, and a slight chill.Tasted: 05 July 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
