Lingua Franca Estate Pinot Noir 2017

Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesFrom their Eola-Amity estate, and its volcanic soils, this pinot noir is a combination of various clones. Approximately 20% whole cluster, this was native fermented and then aged for one year in French barriques (25% new) followed by 4 months in tank prior to bottling. Classic Eola-Amity with its juicy and mouthwatering palate of wild raspberries, strawberries, and interwoven layers of fine, dark earth. Tannins are slight and sticky, appropriately supporting this to a lingering mineral finish. Beautiful now, and more so with cellaring, as one would expect from one of Oregon's shooting star wineries.Tasted: 13 July 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
