L'Acadie Vintage Cuvee 2016

Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, CanadaPale flaxen colour with fast streams of lively bubbles, then inviting aromas of bread dough, windfall apples, lemon marmelade, a pleasing green fennel note, and distinct earthiness. Delicious flavours of lemon and green pear, carmelized apple, and honey-roasted nuts suffuse a vivid palate, ending with a juicy, grapey finish. Dry tasting but with pleasing softness from a well-integrated dosage of 7 grams (exactly in line with most Champagne), this is a very well made, fresh, highly drinkable traditional method wine from Nova Scotia. L'Acadie blanc is joined by chardonnay and seyval blanc in this blend, all farmed organically and rooted in mineral-rich seabed soils. Showing a nice degree of bottle aged complexity, pair this with savoury bites like a brick of pate and crusty baguette, grilled prawns, or a triple cream cheese.Tasted: 03 July 2020Tasted by: DJ KearneyPrices:
