Fitzpatrick Sudden Inversion Meritage 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe grapes come off Maverick Vineyards in the South Okanagan. The 60/28/12 mix is merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon, each fermented separately in stainless steel and aged 14 months in French oak (10% new, 90% neutral). Full and toothsome on the palate, this has cushy cassis, blackberry, mint, hugged by ample chewy and thick tannins, carrying this to a warming finish.
