Carm Douro Tinto 2015

Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalCARM stands for Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira, a joint venture between six properties in the Douro Superior, sharing 90 hectares of vines. This blend of touriga nacional, tinta roriz, and touriga franca spent eight months in American and French oak. Thick with the Douro Superior sun, and plumped out by the wood, this big wine still feels youthful with primary cassis, potent blackberry, plum, and ample toasty wood. Tannins are shellacked with vanilla, somewhat sticky, and finishing with a warming flush. Needs big meats, as intended.Tasted: 04 July 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
