Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAn all-Okanagan gewürztraminer from Township 7 Naramata Bench Estate Vineyard, Oliver's Vista Lago Vineyard, this is cold-soaked for six hours before pressing. The juice went into six stainless steel, and six neutral French oak barrels, for a month-long cool ferment. The nose and attack are all orange dusted with a touch of ginger and rosewater. There is just enough residual sugar to sweeten the mid-palate to attract a wide audience. Go for the classic Alsace pairing: wild boar, or something more west coast, like spicy Thai.
