Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Micro Cuvée McLean Creek Vineyards 2018

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMicro Cuvée Pinot Noir is a barrel selection from the home estate McLean Creek Road vineyard. In 2018, the grapes predominantly came from a block of Pommard Clone 91, with 25% coming from Clone 115. This went into two new French oak 500L puncheons, along with four one-year-old puncheon, where it remained for 11 months prior to bottling unfined and unfiltered. Unmistakably pinot, with its fragrant and pure black cherry, wild raspberry, forest scents, pencil lead, and dusky baking spices. Tannins are ripe, hugging this cushioned, expressive and forward pinot to a lingering spiced, saline finish. Enjoy this expansive pinot noir with duck or wild mushrooms, or tuck it away for a few years.Tasted: 15 June 2020Tasted by: Prices:
