Lock and Worth Cabernet Franc Rosé grey label 2019

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis grey label Cab Franc Rosé sources fruit from a small sandy Naramata vineyard planted at the original Poplar Grove property in 1995. There was also a bin of cab franc from Oliver tipped into this year's rosé, to make the most of a lovely looking extra bin of fruit needing a home. This was whole cluster pressed and into neutral French oak for 6 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration. Pouring slightly hazy, this carries bergamot, pear, wild strawberries, and a flush of mineral salts along a slender palate, lined with fine herbal lees, and finishing with a tangerine snap. Striking, serious, smashable, this is the pink for folks like me to drink all summer and beyond.Tasted: 20 June 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
