Domaine Rolet Côtes du Jura Tradition 2012

Côtes du Jura, Jura, FranceThough it doesn't say Tradition on the Canadian label, this is an equal part chardonnay / savagnin, where the latter has aged under veil for 4 years, while the chardonnay was aged in barrels for 4 years. It was blended 3 months before bottling. A glowing golden hue, this shows distinct oxidative notes of dried apple, dried apricot, overtop of intense minerality, lemon pith, concentrated wild mushrooms, and honeysuckle. The finish is super saline, and incredibly long. Very savoury, and distinct, this powerful wine feels more than its 13.5 degrees.Tasted: 29 June 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
