Bartier Bros. Granite 2018

British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Michael Bartier refers to his Granite as a rosé/orange style wine. In 2018, a gewürztraminer comes off a sandy/loam, sandy/silt vineyard in Summerland. The fruit was crushed into a 1-ton open-top fermenter and underwent a 21-day maceration. There was no malolactic fermentation as it aged for six months in concrete and stainless steel tanks on its yeast lees. The attack is slightly grippy and bone dry, with tea, cedar, and grassy aromas and flavours. A touch of skin tannins suggests this will work with food. The winery says a favourite curry dish is the match.Tasted: 13 June 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
