50th Parallel Estate Pinot Noir 2017

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaEven at 50 degrees north, this pinot is more about hedonism and power than delicacy, and that’s just fine with many consumers. A mix of Dijon clones is at the root of this boisterous red, with smoky, spicy red/black fruit and a fair dollop of tannin at this point. Mulberries, crushed leaves, black tea, and liquorice finish dry and a touch astringent. For now, pork is the match, but you could let settle in a for another year or two in the bottle.Tasted: 19 June 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
