Pieropan Soave Classico 2018

Soave, Verona, Veneto, ItalyIf you've ever shied away from Soave, or the garganega grape because it's boring or weak, you owe it to yourself to try the master: Pieropan. The Pieropan family has been producing wines in Soave since the 1890s, and their estate covers nearly 60 hectares of organic vineyards, dotting the stony hills of the Soave Classico. This is splashed with 15% trebbiano di soave, giving the waxy, yellow fruits a light white floral lift. Meyer lemon brings some sunny acidity, and there's a moreish pine nut note that lingers on the finish. The balance throughout is impeccable.Tasted: 03 May 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
