Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe latest MHFE Reserve Pinot Noir has become a mix of sites, including cooler northern vineyards. The 2018 breakdown is Naramata (35%), Lakeshore (32%), East Kelowna (29%), and West Kelowna (4%). It was one of the coolest Septembers leading to harvest at full ripeness on November 8. There is richness and intensity here that you might associate with New Zealand or even Sonoma, aided by ten months in French oak. The attack is medium weight with intense red and some black fruit, with strong, savoury, peppery underbrush. Think salmon, pork, duck, or a favourite soft cheese to tame its youthful exuberance.Tasted: 08 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:
