Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCulmina's 2019 Saignée shows a really proper rosé nose of joyful red fruit and botanicals in a perfect aroma ratio. Big and expansive in the mouth with juicy cherries, peppered strawberry, and tart red apple, and perfect note of herbal pungency. Add in the richness of a creamy/glossy texture, 14% abv, and you've got a powerful rosé with body, heft, and staying power. Put its mouthwatering acidity and flavourful super-dry finish to work with crab cakes, grilled pork chops, or simple saucisson sec and crusty baguette. After a few hours' skin contact, this fermented and aged in stainless. Cool, slick strawberries, raspberries, white peach and Rainier cherries glide along the super peppery palate to a lengthy finish.
