Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley 2016

Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesArrowood works with three specific Sonoma County AVAs: Sonoma, Knights, and Alexander Valleys. The Knights Valley is one of the most remote AVAs in Sonoma County, bordering Napa Valley to the east and Alexander Valley to the northwest. Free from the influence of the Pacific Ocean, the seasons are longer and warmer, perfect for maturing the late-ripening cabernet sauvignon. In 2016 all the stars aligned in Northern California, spawning some impressive red wines. The Arrowood Knights is a big red with spicy, dense, sweet tannins that saturate the deep black cherry and blackcurrant, flecked with licorice, minerals, and dark chocolate. Rich, dry, and long, there is a sense you can drink this now, at least with a big steak, but I would hold off until at least 2023 before cracking a bottle open.Tasted: 30 May 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
