Tantalus Old Vines Riesling 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTantalus' Old Vines Riesling comes exclusively from a block of vines planted in 1978 on a north facing slope of deep, silty soils. It was fermented to near dry, with the remaining 4 g/L RS expertly balanced out against 10 g/L TA. Savoury and serious, as ever, with broken stones, lime pith, green apple, elastic, and vinyl notes, here in youth. Acidity is quivering, streaming this taut, sleek palate to a very long, minerally-rung finish. While a super interesting exercise to drink this now, this wine has a worthy evolution ahead of it.Tasted: 29 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:
