Tantalus Maija Pinot Noir 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMaija is the next gen Juveniles Pinot Noir, named for owner Eric Savics' daughter. This fruit comes from young estate Dijon clone plantings, complemented by a neighbouring vineyard in South East Kelowna. After a native ferment, this went into French barriques (20% new) for 11 months, and was blended just prior to bottling. Pouring a crimson brown hue, this adolescent cuvée blasts its enthusiasm through smoked plum, potent cherry, and ripe raspberry.
