Stag's Hollow Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSimilar to last year, though a bit richer and riper on the palate. Look for hints of lees under grassy, citrus, kiwi aromas, with a twist of wood. The attack is super ripe, mixing lime rind, gooseberry, and grassy tropical fruit. Just a bit too big in the finish, but fine if you are a fan of rich, ripe, warm, mouth-filling sauvignon blanc. Like last year it has a richness and sweetness you can use up against spicy dishes, but I would prefer a bit more mystery and complexity. Still fine value.Tasted: 25 April 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $22.00 | 750ml | winery online, select private retailers |
