Quails' Gate Dry Riesling 2019

West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom 30+ year old vines, this riesling was whole cluster pressed and then fermented and aged in stainless steel. At the moment it’s not overly expressive, with subdued green apple and lime as well as a whiff of sulphur. The palate is taut and precise in a truly dry style, with the 2.9 g/L of residual sugar easily erased by the racy acidity. It comes across a little closed right now, so I’d give this some time in the cellar to see if it opens up. For now, it’s a crisp, refreshing white that will go down easily on a warm summer afternoon.Tasted: 02 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:
