Escorihuela 1884 Pequeñas Producciones Malbec 2017

Mendoza, ArgentinaSourced from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, Tunuyán, San Carlos, and Valle de Uco, this was aged in French oak barriques for 10 months. In comparison to the other malbecs in this line-up, the Pequeñas Producciones shows more restrained ripeness with boysenberry, cola, and a slight reductive note. It’s not overly complex, but it’s nicely balanced with fine tannins and juicy acidity. I’d drink this now with a slight chill.Tasted: 01 March 2020Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
