Tightrope Winery Viognier 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit comes off two Naramata vineyards, the Tightrope home vineyard and The Eira Thomas Vineyard. It is whole-cluster-pressed; the juice is cold settled for three days before being racked to barrel for fermentation in French and Acaia barrels before spending ten months on lees. No malolactic reduces the perfume and clingy styling you can get with viognier moving this to a more austere and, in my opinion, more attractive white wine with oranges, mandarins and apricots on the nose and palate with just a hint of spice. Bright, fresh and tasty the winery suggests you try it with baked brie on cranberry crostini or beef stroganoff.Tasted: 03 February 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
