Soumah Savarro 2015

Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaJura meets Yarra in this charismatic savignan from Soumah. This late ripening grape works well with the cool climate Yarra, pressed and fermented at low temperatures in stainless, and left there on lees to build texture and aromatics. Green melon, lemon sherbet, green apple, mandarin, meadow grasses is held upright, though the core is waxy yellow plum and ample lees/cheese. Acidity is relatively low, and mouthfeel is relatively expansive, rolling across the 13 degrees palate lackadaisically to a flushing finish. Bring on oily river fish or tempura or butter drenched artichokes.Tasted: 18 February 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
