Robin Ridge Cabernet Franc - Merlot 2016
Keremeos, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine surprises with its fullness and richness of flavours. It’s all estate fruit grown organically mixing cabernet franc and merlot. Look for ripe, red cherries, bright, plummy fruit with a stony mineral undercurrent and medium grippy tannins that have yet to be drooped. The finish is clean with bits of licorice, blueberry with dried cherry fruit and brown spice dusted with chocolate powder. If you have to drink it, make sure you have some grilled meat in the vicinity or simply wait two to four years for this to fall into line.
