Quails' Gate The Allison 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNamed for John and Susan Allison, the first European settlers on the west side of Okanagan Lake in 1873, this is a bigger, red, ready blend of 61% syrah and 39% cabernet franc from Osoyoos, aged in neutral oak for 20 months. Big ripe sweet oak beds cherry, raspberry, and a swirl of dark cocoa, with blocky, chalky tannins setting the stage. The finish is short and leaves you needing a grilled pork chop or stew to meet.
