Quails' Gate The Allison 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Allison is named after John and Susan Allison, the first European settlers on the west side of Okanagan Lake in 1873, where they built a small log home that still stands today at the front of the property greeting visitors. The nose is a mix of herbal black and red fruit streaked with leather, and tobacco. The palate is equally full of black fruits leading into dusty, peppery, meaty notes before a slightly bitter back end. A robust red you can serve with equally assertive dishes from pepperoni pizza to lamb chops. The blend is 61/39 syrah and cabernet franc, mostly out of Osoyoos.Tasted: 31 October 2019Tasted by: Prices:
