Loosen Bros Dr. L Riesling 2018

GermanyDr. L is the entry level Mosel riesling from Dr. Loosen, and it overdelivers for the price. There’s an initial whiff of SO2 on the nose, which seems to be endemic to German riesling. As you dig past it, you’ll find a more citrus-fruited expression of riesling. The palate is medium-sweet (45 g/L of residual sugar), without the tension that you’d find in higher quality examples like a Kabinett or Spatlese.
