Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United States45% of this Russian River Chardonnay is barrel fermented in 30% French oak (15% neutral barrels), with the remainder fermented in stainless steel. 75% of the juice goes through a softening malolactic fermentation during its one year of ageing. The result is a fresh wine with notes of pear, pineapple, butter, and vanilla. The palate is similar with more ripe peach, pear, melon, and mandarin.
