Denavolo Diavolino Vino Bianco 2017

Emilia-Romagna, ItalyGuilio Armani is the longtime winemaker at La Stoppa, and Denavolo is his side project, focusing on orange wines from local grapes. This comes from an 8 acre limestone soiled vineyard, at 300-750m on the top of the foothills in western Emilia-Romagna, near the sea. This is a blend of young vine Malvasia di Candia, Marsanne, Ortugo, and other indigenous varieties, left on skins for 7-14 days, fermented native, and left entirely natural. Stencilled apricot fuzz, green apple, crab apple, lemon pith, earthy lees, elderflower is washed with a dry cider rinse, snapping the slight (10.5 degree) palate on the brisk, saline finish. A lean and energetic natural amber wine to quench your thirst.Tasted: 12 January 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
