Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaUpper Bench Estate is mid-valley pinot noir that packs a modest punch, this year a little less virulent in style than last year. The combination of 14 percent alcohol, a fair bit of spice, and medium intensity gives it a chance to express its black cherry and raspberry fruit, dried herbs, and elegance. The finish is dry with persistent spicy notes.
