Post Scriptum de Chryseia 2015

Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalPost Scriptum is a second label to Prats + Symmington's lead wine Chryseia, and intended to enjoy at a younger age. From 2007 this came predominantly from fruit from Rio Torto's Quinta da Perdiz, in the Cima Corgo. A near split between touriga nacional and touriga franca, this spent a year in 400L French barrels. Crushed violets, wild cassis, dusky blackberries fill the full palate, dusted with charcoal, chiseled with graphite and streaked with schist. Tannins are firm, but slight and fuzzy, yielding for drinking now, especially with wild boar or mushrooms. Certainly still worthy for your cellar, with reward.Tasted: 02 November 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
