Domaine Ollier Taillfer Grande Reserve Faugeres 2015

Faugères, Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceDomaine Ollier Taillefer’s oldest carignan vines go into this delicious, balanced red. The mix is grenache, syrah and a dash of mourvèdre, grown organically on schist soils. The attack is all red berries, particularly silky raspberries with a stony mineral underside, dusting of garrigue, and a round, soft, long supple finish. Perfect drinking now but will no doubt age five to seven years effortlessly. Lamb, pigeon, mushrooms all work here. Excellent value and real wine.Tasted: 05 November 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
