Oak Bay Vineyard Gebert Family Reserve Riesling 2014
East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA current release at 2014, this is certainly showing its age with some honeyed, petrol notes. The fruit feels a bit tamped down by the maturity as well, lacking the vibrance and energy of the 2013 Reserve. This is from 1978 planted vines, some of the oldest Riesling in BC. Parmesan rind savouriness scents the melon, white pear, green apple fruit, with a finish that trails off.
