Cliff and Gorge Unoaked Pinot Noir 2018

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaCliff and Gorge received their winery license in 2018, becoming the second winery in Lillooet. This is the inaugural release of their unoaked pinot noir and it's an impressive debut. There's juicy black cherry, but what's more intriguing is the sappy, herbal savoury note. It may not be overly complex, but I don't think that's necessarily the goal. Rather, Cliff and Gorge have produced an authentic expression of pinot noir that makes you want to pour a second glass, and managed to do so at only $19. The 2018 vintage is already sold out according to their website, so you may want to keep an eye out for the 2019 vintage before it's too late. Best served slightly chilled.Tasted: 15 September 2019Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
