Blue Grouse Quill Rosé 2018

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaHere’s a rosé you can drink deeply into cool weather. Blue Grouse's 100% gamay pink is utterly charming, with juicy red-berried fruits, a herbal nip and properly dry, grippy finish. Bursting with flavour, it also has hidden dimensions of complexity for those to seek it. I admire the flavour intensity of this pink, and it hangs around in the mouth, a sign of a good food wine. Try with a veggie pizza, or baked chicken and olives. Blue Grouse wines have gone from strength to strength, and winemaker Bailey Williamson's intuitive understanding of the warm Cowichan microclimate and his maturing vineyards have much to do with it. Try this irresistible Rosé, but don't stop there, give the pinot gris and pinot noir your time also.Tasted: 10 September 2019Tasted by: DJ KearneyPrices:
