Laughing Stock Vineyards Blind Trust Red +02/10 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Blind Trust is the second of Laughing Stock's Bordeaux inspired blends. The blend is hiding under the capsule, where you learn it's 42/35/12/8/2 merlot, malbec, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and syrah. The texture is inviting form the first sip: rich, soft, linear, and packed full of dense sweet tannins. The mid-palate is juicy, mixing fresh red and blue fruits with a coffee, mocha tobacco finish. The grapes are handpicked and hand-sorted by cluster in the vineyard and by berry at the winery. Fermentation is mostly stainless steel with some lots going into oak fermenters. Each variety stays in barrel for 15 months before being selected, blended, and bottled. The fruit comes off three sites on the Naramata Bench, and the Perfect Hedge Vineyard in Osoyoos.Tasted: 02 August 2019Tasted by: Prices:
