Intersection Reserve Barrel Fermented Viognier-Marsanne 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada85 percent viognier and 15 percent marsanne, this Rhône-style white blend was fermented and aged in neutral French oak for six months. At three years of age, it is beginning to evolve on the nose, showing subdued, muted fruit alongside restrained floral aromatics. The fruit is slightly fresher on the palate, but lacks definition and precision. It just doesn’t quite come together, finishing with a bitter note, but shows good potential. Drink now.
