Fitz Blanc de Noir Sparkling Wine 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI love how the Fitzpatrick team handled the heat in 2015 and made all the right picking decisions to get enough freshness into their sparklers to make a quality statement. The fruit is estate and pinot noir that spends a minimum of 36 months on lees (that’s a full three years folk; can you say commitment?) The nose is a subtle swirl of red fruit with Rainier cherries, fresh raspberry, red apple, and juicy pink grapefruit. The acidity is pleasantly brisk in a cranberry, citrus mode that is perfectly balanced by a light dusting of residual sugar. Love the creamy lees texture that supports the fruit without overwhelming it — a deft little bubble that will age effortlessly for a decade. Go BC.Tasted: 18 July 2019Tasted by: Prices:
