Feudo Maccari Olli Grillo 2017

Sicily, ItalyThis grillo is born from low-yielding, 20-year-old bush vines grown on an old seabed of calcareous laced soils in Sicily. It is aged in stainless steel to maintain a fresh, herbal, honeysuckle, Meyer lemon palate with slivered almonds and a mineral, stony undercurrent. A stylish white wine you can pour with a variety of vegetable pasta dishes. In the spring, the vines are pruned to one bud per plant, and in June/July, a green harvest is performed to eliminate lesser grapes. Twenty days before harvest, the vines go through an additional cluster thinning to find only the best grapes in the bunch.Tasted: 22 August 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
